Definition
A banked turn is a turning (change in direction of motion) of a vehicle where the vehicle inclines (i.e., it is not vertical) with the incline usually happening inward along the turn. The bank angle is the angle between the vertical and the normal direction for the contact of the vehicle with the ground, which is also the same as the angle between the plane of contact and the horizontal.
